Don’t Pinch Anyone.
It’s not worth it. During this time of social distancing, you will be tempted to touch your friends and family through a warm embrace, a hug, or even a pinch. This year is probably the first year it’s not recommended to pinch someone for not wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day. If you absolutely have to pinch someone, maybe just send them a spirited text message or emoji.
Avoid Crowds and Stay Home.
We’ll never run the snakes out of Ireland if we’re too busy having a pint together at the pub. The same goes for COVID-19. To stop the spread of the virus, it is recommended that you stay at home with a small number of people. Stock up on some brews, food, and fun and be creative. You might just learn something about your family, roommates, or significant others that you never knew before.
Feeling Sick? Go See The Doctor.
The luck of the Irish may not be upon you this go around. If you’re feeling a little green around the gills, do the responsible thing and stay home. If it’s a severe feeling of illness, seek professional medical care. You dang sure better not chase it with green beer.
If You Must Sneeze or Cough Use Cover.
Use an elbow, sleeve, napkin, book, folder, or anything else you have at your disposal to prevent that sneeze or cough from floating in the air. This COVID-19 virus is more contagious than the luck of the Irish or the kiss of a Leprechaun. Don’t go trying to kiss Leprechauns either. They might be a carrier of the virus.
Try Not To Touch Your Face.
You may not be able to resist the urge to scratch at your beard, pick your nose, or rub your eyes in the face of the lush fields of green today, but it’d be better for you if you didn’t. If you’re not a carrier, you may infect yourself. If you are a carrier, you may be spreading the virus. It’s really not fun at all so just cross your fingers and imagine a pot of gold at the end of all of this COVID-19 madness.
For The Love of All That’s Holy, Don’t Kiss The Blarney Stone.
Not even once. The gift of gab is reserved for online activities during this St. Patrick’s Day Quarantine, you don’t need to kiss a stone to share ideas online with your friends.
